Another second gone

According to statistics, two people die every second. On the average day 150,000 walk off earth and into their eternity. About 33% of the world's population identify themselves as Christians. If you do the math out, that means that on the average day 102,000 people die and walk off this earth without Christ. In a week, about 714,000 die in their sin. If the statistics are correct, that means that in the average year 37,230,000 people will walk off into hell, a place of "weeping, wailing, and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 13:42). As Christians, what are we doing about it? Are we being bold for Jesus Christ by handing out tracts and having conversations or are we sitting back in our Sunday Schools and Wednesday Prayer Services while a very lost and dark world perishes around us?

Two people are dying every second, and every second that passes is gone forever. It is very possible that somebody who thought they had their entire life ahead of them died while I am writing this very sentence. Were they saved? And if they were, what did they do to bring as many lost people into heaven with them as possible? We should each ask ourselves the same questions. Are you saved? Do you know where you are spending eternity? If you are, then who are you trying to take with you? Do something about it now, in a second it may be too late.
