Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed

For those who have not heard about it, “Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed” is a documentary that follows Ben Stein as he travels the world, talking to scientists (both atheists and theists). His conversations range from talking to men and women who have literally been blacklisted in the scientific community, simply for entertaining the idea of Intelligent Design; to talking to atheists who view religion as “evil” and “stupid”. For most of America, the film will (hopefully) act as a wakeup call to how anyone who dares question Darwin’s theory is automatically viewed as ignorant and stupid. Stein points out that, when it comes to evolution, many in the scientific community do not have freedom of speech, they have the freedom to agree with Darwinism or keep their mouths’ shut.

Simply put, the film is incredible, and I highly encourage everybody (Christian or not) to get to a theatre to see it. Of course, most atheists are up in arms about it and are treating Mr. Stein as if he were the antichrist. One website somebody told me about made the claim that the film is just “right wing propaganda that is trying to get religion into the classrooms.” What I find interesting about these claims is that such statements are exactly what Mr. Stein is talking about in the film. One of the points made in the film is that many who question Darwinism do not have a religious motivation, but simply don’t think the theory is accurate.

So, don’t see the “website gossip” and decide the film is a waste of time. I assure you it is not. Stein makes the fair point that we should be allowed to follow the evidence wherever it leads, rather it be evolution or creation. This educational (and blasphemy-free, might I add) film has warranted my complete support; don’t miss it!
