He Made The Stars...Also
Pictured left is a graphic representation of a Red Dwarf star. Scientists tell us that these stars are no more than 50% the mass of the sun. To give you an example, Proxima Centauri (the closest star to Earth) is 200,000 kilometers across (about 124,274 miles). Have you ever been looking out at a majestic landmark on Earth (such as the Grand Canyon) and thought our planet was simply massive? Earth’s circumference is only 24,902 miles, paling in comparison to Proxima Centauri—a Red Dwarf (emphasis on the word 'Dwarf').
Now let’s consider the Sun—an average sized star. The Sun is 1.4 million kilometers across (1,400,000,000 meters) and is about 869,919 miles in size. To give our small minds an idea of how massive this is, consider that experts believe 1 million planet Earth’s could fit inside of the Sun.
For the sake of time, I am going to jump way up in size to what is known as the largest star in existence today: a Red Hypergiant named VY Canis Majoris. Although there is some debate on the actual size of this star, Roberta Humphrey’s from the University of Minnesota placed it at 2100 times the size of the Sun. This star is so massive it takes light eight hours to cross its circumference. See the image below for an idea of how large this is.

Now here is the incredible part. At the end of Genesis 1:19, we are told, “He [God] made the stars also.” The massive stars we marvel at today are nothing more than an “I made those too” to Almighty God. How great is our God? He made these incredible stars…also. And this is the same God we will stand before on the day we die (see Hebrews 9:27). I often hear people say that if God does exist and they stand before Him, He will have a lot of explaining to do. Folks, God has nothing to explain. He is holy, righteous, and powerful beyond anything we can imagine.
